Paul Leach and his team have now finished foaling. Every single foal is chestnut! The yearlings are blossoming on the spring grass.  They are getting prepared for inspection by Tattersalls, the Newmarket based horse auctioneers, to decide which yearling sales they should go to in the autumn. All the mares except one are in foal at the moment and mostly due quite early next year.

Fonthill House successful garden opening

Fonthill garden opening this Sunday 27th March 2011 in aid of the National Gardens Scheme. Adults £5, £10 per car, childen under 12 free. 2pm-6pm Guatemala Coffee Bus serving refreshments.

A new hydropower scheme has recently been installed at the lake at Fonthill. This new venture allows us to generate up to 20 kilowatts of green electricity simply from the natural source of the water in the lake.  This is enough power to supply about 10 standard houses.
